Sports at St. Peter’s

Every child plays. Every day. That is the whole philosophy.

Sports hero

Some schools treat sport as a reward for finishing homework. We treat it as part of the homework — a daily, non-negotiable appointment with fresh air, effort and teammates. On a 56-acre campus in Panchgani’s hill country, there is room to run properly, and reasons to: fitness, discipline, the sting of losing well and the grace of winning better.

What students play

CategorySports
Field and trackAthletics, marathon, cricket and football.
Team and courtBasketball, volleyball, badminton and table tennis.
Individual and mind sportChess, carrom, horse riding, skating and physical conditioning.

Inter-house competition gives every student — not just the naturally gifted — a team, a jersey and a reason to train. Inter-school fixtures raise the ceiling for those who want it. And recreational play keeps sport what it should be at its heart: fun.

Sports-programme matrix

Daily physical activity is built into the routine for every student; specific compulsory and optional sports are published in the programme details.

Horse riding appears in the current sports offering; confirm availability, age groups and any additional cost with Admissions.
