The ICSE is a demanding, respected qualification — broad by design, and rewarding for students who prepare steadily rather than frantically. At St. Peter’s, we make sure students and parents understand the requirements early, choose subject options thoughtfully, and follow a manageable plan for learning and revision across the two years. Board preparation should feel like a climb with a guide, not a cliff.

How we teach and assess
Concept teaching, discussion, written practice, laboratory and project work, internal assessment, and examination technique — in that order of importance. Teachers use assessment evidence to catch misconceptions early and give targeted feedback, so problems are fixed in Class IX, not discovered in the board hall. Parents receive regular, honest reports on progress.
Options are discussed and confirmed before Class IX begins, with guidance from subject teachers, so that choices reflect genuine strength and interest rather than habit.
Changes are possible only within CISCE rules and early timelines; the school will advise on feasibility case by case.
