About St. Peter’s School, Panchgani

Some schools teach children. Ours has been raising them since 1904.

About section hero

St. Peter’s School, Panchgani is a co-educational boarding and day school in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra, following the CISCE curriculum from the foundational years to Class XII. That is the short answer. The longer one begins on a green hillside more than a century ago — and it is still being written by the students who live and learn here today.

Walk through our gates and you will notice two things almost at once. The first is the setting: fifty-six acres of hill campus, clean air and open sky, the kind of environment city schools simply cannot offer. The second is harder to photograph. It is the sense of a community that knows itself — children from different regions, faiths and backgrounds sharing dormitories, dining tables, playing fields and a common purpose. Our motto, Ut Prosim (“That I May Serve”), is not framed on a wall and forgotten. It is practised daily, in ordinary acts of responsibility and care.
